Need an Official Docket or Record?
Cedar County uses two trial-court clerk channels. The Clerk Magistrate is the correct contact for County Court traffic, misdemeanor, city-ordinance, preliminary felony, small-claims, probate, guardianship, adoption, juvenile, and County Court civil records. The Clerk of District Court maintains District Court felony, civil, domestic-relations, protection-order, and other district records.
- A docket or case lookup: use JUSTICE Case Search, then ask the holding clerk about an official copy.
- A court setting: use the Multi-Court Case Calendar and confirm the result with the proper clerk.
- A County Court record: contact Diane Sudbeck, Clerk Magistrate, 101 S Broadway, Hartington, NE 68739, PO Box 695, phone 402-254-7441, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- A District Court record: contact Janet Wiechelman, Clerk of District Court, second floor, 101 S Broadway, Hartington, NE 68739, PO Box 796, phone 402-254-6957, email districtcourtclk@cedarcountyne.gov, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Copies or certification: identify the case, document, and date, then use the clerk route or the state CC 3:29 request process.
The court offices are open through lunch according to their published Cedar County pages. Call before a special trip to confirm a holiday closure, access need, or current records procedure.
